Microsoft Cortana
Cortana doesn't only depend on voice commands but you can send commands to her by typing. She's not just called a voice assistant but also a virtual assistant. This is really a great advantage especially if there are situations where you can't use the voice command. For example, if you are in a meeting , of course you can't say "Cortana, remind me of my date with my wife" while in the middle of a discussion. Also, if you want to correct something that Cortana perceived, you can just type that word rather than saying it all over and over again.
She can also know about you especially when you give out your interests, likes and hobbies. She can remind you of the schedule of basketball games and even parties in your own town. If you love travelling, she can update to you by scanning emails and current advertisements. Unlike other virtual assistants, it is constantly running.
Apple Siri
You can find information through Siri. For example is asking the weather or the traffic update. She can also create calendar events and Siri can remind you about it. Siri can send messages to anyone in your contacts. It changes what you say to a text message. Siri doesn't only follow your commands but also make recommendations. For example, if you tell her you want to watch a movie tonight, she will suggest you good movies. If you want to play music, she will play a recommended one. However, it has great advantage when it comes to the experience. It has learned many common things from Apple users that can help them build a better and newer one.
